Natalie de Silva

Headteacher and SENDCo

Natalie was previously the Executive Headteacher of two primary free schools in West London, The West London Free School Primary and The Earl's Court Free School Primary. She has been on the same journey as us in starting a school from scratch.

Jayde Dankaro

KS1 Leader and Reading Leader

Jayde is another of our fantastic founding class teachers, and she leads Hawking Class. Jayde’s background prior to joining the staff team at Walthamstow Primary Academy was in supporting children with Special Educational Needs, and she is passionate about using this insight to ensure all our children receive the experiences and support they need to make great progress within our highly supportive environment.

Jazmin Majid

Nursery Nurse

Jazmin joined the WPA Team in October 2017. She previously worked as EYFS coordinator for a Breakfast and After School Club provider within local schools, supporting children with meeting their age related expectations and also supporting a child with autism. Jazmin believes that every individual can reach their full potential in a safe and encouraging environment.

Autumn Woolcott

Lunchtime Support Assistant

Autumn joined the WPA Team in November 2017. She has many years’ experience supporting children in a variety of environments, including residential homes and special education needs schools.  Autumn, a qualified Nursery Nurse, has a helpful manner and gentle approach to help our children have a positive mealtime experience. 

Annie Altman

Reception Teacher


Annie has been working with children since leaving full time education and finds them a joy and inspiration. Prior to joining the staff team at Walthamstow Primary Academy, Annie was working in the independent sector teaching KS1. Annie is passionate that every child reaches their full potential and is given the opportunities and support to succeed.

Leanne Dunleavy

Administrative Assistant

Leanne joined Walthamstow Primary Academy in September 2017 as an Administrative Assistant. She provides valuable support to the Business Manager and Headteacher and is the first point of contact when making enquiries in person or on the telephone.  She has enjoyed working with children since 2008, and has a caring approach to children's needs. 

Pembe Kirca

Teaching Assistant

Pembe joined Walthamstow Primary Academy in January 2018 after completing two years of training to become a Teaching Assistant. During her training, Pembe worked with children with a range of different needs and found it extremely rewarding. She believes it is important to support children in all areas; social development, emotional wellbeing and academically, for them to reach their full potential.


Charlotte Courtney

Leader of Support Staff and Interim Year 1 Teacher

Charlotte has been at Walthamstow Primary Academy since September 2015. She joined the team as a Nursery Nurse and has progressed to being a member of the Leadership team. Charlotte led WPA to successfully achieving the Healthy Schools London bronze award and leads on P.E. within the school. Incredibly dedicated to her role, Charlotte is passionate that every child is given every chance to succeed at school.

Razia Saleem

Lunchtime Support Assistant

Razia has joined us as Lunchtime Support Assistant and also plays a key role running intervention groups. Razia is passionate about ensuring lunch and play time are an enjoyable and a pleasant experience for the children and is tireless in her efforts to support the class teachers with their intervention groups.
