On the first day of home learning, your child will need to access their Home Learning via their Office 365 account. The log in details have already been emailed home, along with an information letter The academy has a limited number of devices. These will be allocated by academy staff to identified pupils, not on parental request.
Teachers will live stream lessons so that absent pupils have access to the same learning as pupils in school. Live interaction with teachers, where possible and pupil interaction where appropriate for learning. However, we have needed to make the following adaptations:
We expect that remote education provision (including remote teaching and independent work) will take pupils broadly the following number of hours each day:
EYFS - Reception: 1-2 hours
KS1 - Year 1 and Year 2: 3-4 hours
KS2 - Year 3, 4, 5 and 6: 3-4 hours
We use Microsoft Office 365 and Microsoft Teams to support online learning. Your child has their own Office 365 account. Your child has been shown how to use Office 365 and how to access Teams.
You will have received information to help you support your child with this. For pre-recorded work, we use Microsoft Sway and you will receive links to these in the information from school. Links can be found on the academy website.

We recognise that some pupils, for example some pupils with SEND, may not be able to access remote education without support from adults at home. We will work with parents and carers to support those pupils in the following ways:
If your child is not in school because they are self-isolating, we will follow the same approach as above. We will contact you to discuss our child’s learning at least twice a w
Thank you for your support at this challenging time. We are immensely proud of the response of our school community to these unique circumstances.
